Structure and Content

Talent Blossom 2020 is an introduction to a classical approach to drawing for anyone, from beginners to professionals, who can find fun in art and life.
During the workshop, participants will learn new tools to better understand mass, volume, gesture and use of lines, planes, outlines and depict the human faces.
The classes will be provided in English with Japanese translation.

Gifts for Participants
Every participant will receive sketching and drawing reference materials, a TAW brochure, a sketchbook with teacher’s notes, and a course certificate!


About the Teacher

Aggeliki Yiok
After obtaining a 5-year degree from a general arts school in Greece, she graduated from The Drawing Academy of The Animation Workshop in Denmark.
She now works mainly as a book and comic illustrator, and is also working on an online illustration course that focuses on precise line art and color palettes.


Program

3-Day
Day 1: Introduction

Getting comfortable with drawing materials, drawing planes and lines.
Using a pencil as a drawing tool, gaining an understanding of the weight, shape and 3-dimensional existence of an object.
Day 2: Drawing objects/faces
Getting used to the various techniques of drawing outlines, planes, and lines.
Introduction to drawing faces using a skull as reference.
Day 3: Drawing portraits/self-portraits
Using the techniques learned so far, drawing portraits and self-portraits.

1-Day
Getting comfortable with drawing materials, drawing objects and self-portraits.
A 3-hour experience of using a pencil as a drawing tool, gaining an understanding of the weight, shape and 3-dimensional existence of an object, using the various techniques of drawing outlines, planes, and lines, and drawing self-portraits.
